The current line-up of people filling the GFSA offices is on the society officers page. The GFSA Board of Directors kicked off 2006 with a renewed effort to ensure that the society is undertaking activities and providing services that our members want. Tell us if there is something you really want (even better, volunteer to help us do it).

We are also promoting an electronic membership option that significantly lowers the cost of membership.

June 2006 marks 6 years since the GFSA Web site went live after the "C2K" GFSA Convention in 2000. That event was loads of fun, with a show held inside of the Cleveland Zoo, numerous seminars, an auction and key note lecture (you can relive that event from the coverage on this Web site). While an exceptional event for goldfish keepers, it was not unique; numerous shows are now held each year. Check out the calendar of events on this site and try to make time to visit a show. If you contact the goldfish chair in advance, you might find that they have seminars of interest or even an apprentice judging activity you could get involved in. The time to start planning is now: make contacts and plans to let you "maximize your fun" for a goldfish weekend at one of these events.
