The show season is wrapping up, with the GFSA having furnished judges to many of the significant goldfish shows in 2006. Two events also had GFSA meetings and sponsored seminars. This represents significant progress in presenting a more public face.

To submit material for the Goldfish Report to our editor, please see the updated society contact info. Articles and photos in electronic form are particularly appreciated.
The current line-up of people filling the GFSA offices is on the society officers page. The GFSA Board of Directors kicked off 2006 with a renewed effort to ensure that the society is undertaking activities and providing services that our members want. Tell us if there is something you really want (even better, volunteer to help us do it).

The wonders of duckweed (Lemna minor primarily here in the US). Much like peas, duckweed is a good source of roughage for goldfish that can help avoid or manage floatation problems. You can grow it outside in a container or in a modest sized aquarium under lights. A handful placed periodically in an aquarium with goldfish will soon be recognized as a delicacy and avidly consumed.
